Electrical Design & Tools Expertise

  • Proficient in AUTOCAD, E-Plan, Zuken E3, ATON, and Teamcenter for creating electrical drawings, SLDs, wiring diagrams, panel GAs, BOMs, hook-up diagrams, cable routing, and harness design.
  • Skilled in PLC/HMI programming (Metso-specific), VFD/soft starter configuration, and compliance with electrical standards (IP codes, IEC, IS 3177). Experienced in ERP/SAP (MM module) for stock consumption, costing sheets, and techno-commercial evaluations.

Core Responsibilities & Achievements

  • Expert in component/system selection including starters (DOL/Star-delta/VFD/soft), switchgear (CT/PT/MFM), drives (415V/690V up to 250Hp), motors, DSL systems, cable trays, and load cells. Perform design calculations for voltage drop, motor sizing (IS 3177), and panel heating/cooling using standardized Excel tools that reduced preparation time.
  • Manage full project lifecycle from estimation and tender finalization to ECR/ECN change management, vendor coordination, drawing approvals, proto testing, and site commissioning.

Motor Design

Motor Design Engineers in the motor and pump manufacturing industry develop energy-efficient three-phase (IE2, IE3, IE4) and single-phase (CSR, CSCR, CSIR) induction motors, submersible/monobloc pumps, and special-application motors like high-torque, variable-frequency, and synchronous reluctance types, adhering to IS 12615/IEC 60034, IS 996, and IS 9079 standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop business cases and scope documents for new product development.
  • Prepare design inputs based on requirements and create motor design files.
  • Perform Excel-based calculations for basic concepts, simulate via Ansys (Ansoft/Maxwell-2D), and create validation plans.
  • Build and test prototypes, verify results including third-party checks, and conduct meetings for product launch.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Improve existing products, manage engineering changes, and ensure periodic testing for IS/Star rating compliance.

Electrical Design

SLDs, wiring diagrams, panel GAs, BOMs, hook-up diagrams, cable routing, and standards-compliant electrical drafting.

Control Systems

PLC/HMI programming, VFD and soft starter configuration, system selection, testing, and commissioning workflows.

Motor Engineering

Motor design, pump systems, Ansys simulation, prototype validation, and compliance with IEC and IS standards.
